Why are there no other storylines

It is like the domino effect; if you were to change a specific event that occurred, you would need to change everything that caused that event, and this may overturn everything in logic.

E.g., To erase rain from the Earth's history, you may need to change everything that forms Earth's conditions to Mercury's, and that is impossible. Same concept for society and everything.
